Dear Gastronaut & Forum users..
First off, I am chi. As you no doubt have noticed from my username. I've been an Xbox 360 gamer since launch and event though I have a PS3 I spend significantly more time on the Xbox 360. The reason for that are Party / Arcade games.
I have been buying and playing arcade games since forever, but for some strange reason I have never had my eye on your "Small Arms". I did not know it existed, did not know it was in the arcade listing and did not know what it was about. What made the public not pick up on this game, I ask myself. Either way, this weekend I found myself having 740 MS Points left (Just under 800, damnit) and a craving to spend points. I decided to scroll through the entire library to find new games, and thus came across Small Arms. I did not know what to expect when I saw the screenshots, I thought it was a sort of 'Ratchet and Clanck'.
I decided to download the demo, see what this game was all about (along with a bunch of other demos) and was amazed at the enormous potential this game had. Soon thereafter I spent 400 of my points well buying the full version of the game, as I would sit playing against friends for hours straight. And even though people don't really play this arcade hit online anymore, I still had a good 'gas' with my friends.
Realizing this is a fairly old game (I think I slept on it for nearly two years) I wondered if there were any plans on releasing more titles within the Small Arms universe. By that, I'm not just talking Small Arms 2 although I am excited to ask if that will be hitting Xbox Arcade any time soon, but expanding stories and building onto the universe that Small Arms might be built in. You could easily create mini-stories for the several characters that are in the game, like "Fox Claw" and her "Claw School of Ninjas". Excellent material for a side-story, or for that matter Marky Kat or Mr. Truffles.
I don't know if this board is updated anymore, or if people are even reading this. So if you're reading this, feel free to respond and share your thoughts with mine. I think there's a big potential in the Small Arms franchise that is currently left dying.
